Alan wrote almost 27 dairies in his life, the rights for the publications of his book are now owned by Canongate worldwide. And it’s said that the family project of the publications will be reaching fans by Fall 2022. The books are currently titled to be The Diaries of Alan Rickman, but surely they will be finding a more suitable name for the books by 2022.
The editorial duties are handled by Alan Taylor of Scottish Review of Books alongside John Fowles of Canongate. Rima Horton did said quite a lot about the news of publication.
Rima Horton said: “I’m delighted that Canongate will be publishing Alan’s diaries, and couldn’t have wished for a finer appointment of editor than Alan Taylor. The diaries reveal not just Alan Rickman the actor, but the real Alan – his sense of humour, his sharp observation, his craftsmanship and his devotion to the arts.”

Conogate praised the quality of Alan’s work that they have been now left up with and now are heading into publication.

It would be a great thing, as fans will be able to know more about there favourite character Alan Rickman. And everything they have been through. And before anyone gets upset and feel bad about his private life and information made public, the English actor always intended his diaries to be made available.
